Kelly Clarkson announced the cancellation of the remaining August performances of her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace due to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's illness.
The pop singer and talk show host announced the last-minute change in an Instagram post on August 6, telling fans, “Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
“I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,” the American Idol Season 1 winner wrote.
Clarkson was married to Blackstock, a talent manager, from 2013 to 2022. The exes share two children, River, 10, and Remington, 8.
This is the second time in the past month that Clarkson has cancelled shows. In early July, she posted to Instagram to reveal that she was “devastated” to postpone two opening nights at Caesars Palace.
